Measurements:

  • tomato juice icon
    200 ml tomato juice
  • vodka icon
    30 ml vodka
  • sugar syrup icon
    15 ml sugar syrup
  • fresh lemon juice icon
    1 tsp fresh lemon juice

    plus extra for garnish

  • Worcestershire sauce icon
    ½ tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • coarse salt icon
    ½ tsp coarse salt
  • freshly ground black pepper icon
    Freshly ground black pepper

    to season

  • drop Tabasco sauce icon
    4 drops Tabasco sauce

    or to taste

  • single espresso icon
    1 single espresso

    chilled

  • celery salt icon

    to granish

  • ice-cube icon

Instructions

    Place the tomato juice, vodka, simple syrup, lemon juice and Worcestershire sauce in a measuring jug and stir to combine. Season with salt, pepper and Tabasco, then stir in the chilled espresso.

    Dip the rim of a short serving glass in lemon juice and then celery salt. Fill with ice and lemon slices and pour over the coffee mixture. Garnish with shaved celery to serve.
