Know your beans
Where do you start? Farmers grow many different coffee varieties across the Coffee Belt, which includes producing countries in South and Central America, the Caribbean, Central and East Africa, and Asia.
Each origin and variety brings something unique to the cup. Part of the joy of speciality coffee is having the ability to experiment with different beans from all around the world, and finding out what you like.
However, when you’re buying coffee beans to use at home, the most important thing is making sure that they are fresh – try to brew your beans within 30 days of roasting.
