Everything you need on how to clean your espresso machine and all its accessories.

Cleaning Guides

Cleaning the Bambino® is essential for keeping it in the best possible working order so that every cup of coffee tastes wonderful.
After each use, it’s important to rinse your portafilter and filter baskets in hot water to remove all residual coffee oils. Let's see why and how it's done.

How to clean portafilter and filter basket

The key to keeping your machine in good working order to produce consistently delicious coffee is to clean it regularly. One item you'll want to add to your routine is cleaning the shower head – it's simple yet important.

How to clean the shower screen

Keep your Bambino® in peak shape with good cleaning and maintenance habits. This includes cleaning the drip tray after every use, or when the red indicator appears.

How to clean the drip tray

To experience flavourful, rich and perfectly extracted espresso daily, proper routine maintenance is necessary on your Bambino®. To clean your machine just like professional baristas, do a group head purge. This will remove espresso residue and stabilize your water temperature prior to extraction.

Group head purge

The Bambino® will transform you from a coffee lover to an aficionado and at-home barista. As any barista worth their coffee knows, that means keeping your machine and accessories clean. For optimal cleanliness, rinse the filter basket after each brew by following our guide.

The perfect espresso extraction is the foundation of the delicious, café-style coffees. The Bambino® allows you to customise its shot volume, so you can make your favourite coffee drinks exactly as you like.
Follow along with the video to learn how to save your espresso shot volume for future brewing.

How to adjust shot volume, duration and temperature

The Bambino® is equipped to steam and texture any type of milk, so you can customise your coffee to your taste. Regularly cleaning and unblocking the steam wand keeps it in ideal condition to brew your next cup and top it with your favourite latte art. Follow along and see how it's done.

Another essential cleaning process for The Bambino® is descaling. Prevention of scale buildup ensures you're producing great quality coffee with every brew. When the '2cup' button continuously flash, the machine needs to be descaled. The process for the Bambino series works the same. Follow along to see how it's done.

How to perform a descale

Learn how to replace the water filter inside your Bambino® with this tutorial. The water filter included with your machine filters for 90 days or 40L – at which point, you’ll need to replace the water filter.
