A rich and unexpected blend of sweet, salty and bold, this latte layers chilled espresso and milk with a silky salted caramel cream cheese topping. Finished with a crack of pepper and a pinch of pink sea salt for a playful, savoury edge.

  • salted caramel sauce icon

  • whole milk icon
    150 ml whole milk
  • double cold espresso icon
    1 double cold espresso
  • cracked black pepper icon
    Cracked black pepper

    to garnish

  • sea salt flakes icon

For the salted caramel cream cheese

  • whipping cream icon
    60 ml whipping cream
  • cream cheese icon
    40 g cream cheese

    at room temperature

  • whole milk icon
    2 tsp whole milk
  • salted caramel sauce icon
    1 tsp salted caramel sauce

Instructions

    To make the salted caramel cream cheese, place the cream, cream cheese, milk and salted caramel sauce in a jug. Whisk (or use a milk frother) until thick but still pouring consistency.

    Drizzle the inside of a tall serving glass with salted caramel sauce. Fill with ice and pour in the milk.

  • 3

    Pour over the cold espresso and top with the salted caramel cream cheese. Garnish with pepper and sea salt flakes to serve.
