We bought a Compact Kettle Pure a little over a month ago, the only disappointment we have experienced is that it already needs descaling in such a short space of time.

Amazing kettle

We had one of these kettles. It was 6 years old and still worked fine. Only issue was about 4 years ago something must have dropped onto the glass window in the lid and put a small crack in it. 
Over the next 4 years and it being used 4/5 time a day that crack slowly developed into 5 cracks but even when the lid screen had loads of interlinked cracks it never let a single drop of steam through. We decided to replace it and as it was best kettle we ever had we got the exact same model. Its very difficult to find a kettle that after that many years still pours perfectly and the rubber is still perfect and still looks sleek and stylish, this kettle does all this.

Great kettle - No Spares?

This is the third kettle of this type we have brought and enjoyed. Unfortunately. and in common with other reviews , the round glass / plastic panel in the lid developed, progressively, many fine cracks. Its replacement would have significantly prolonged the life of the kettle, which in all other respects was working and looking good (see photo). However and  despite my many searches it was not possible to purchase this part. What a shame? A sad reflection on our throw away society.

Good kettle but some QC issues here this time

This is the 3rd one I've bought over the years, they are great kettles but this unit has some pretty bad QC issues . There is a gap in the handle plastic -  how it's formed into the other piece it joins to so when you pick up the unit you can feel the sharp edges of the plastic catching your hand where it hasn't been formed together properly . 
Also I would like to see a unit with no plastic at all internally cos there are still parts of the lid inside that has plastic . All plastic leeches it's a fact there is no safe plastic . 
Maybe the designers are working on a 100% plastic free model. I would buy that if it's kept to less than 100 pounds retail and was a little larger.

Design fault

First purchase was replaced within a few months because the lid stopped shutting. Replacement kettle is now two and a half years old and no longer fit for purpose. The lid has again failed. It doesn't completely shut, which means the kettle carries on boiling for too long. This results in loads of steam which has damaged the paint on the wall. It's becoming dangerous, as the lid sometimes pings open when you're pouring boiling water from the kettle. There are quite a number of reviews regarding faulty lids, so I'm surprised this kettle is still on sale. Apart from the lid issue, the kettle has worked as it should but I would expect it to survive longer than this for the price paid.

I love this kettle; PBA free.  You can see the level of the water really clearly as the whole kettle is toughened glass.  I hated the tiny window for checking the level of the water on my last kettle.  Easy to keep clean, just wipe it down.  Looks great!

Great customer service,  our first one developed a leak after about 18 months but it was quickly and easily replaced, no hassle, excellent customer service and the kettle is exactly what we wanted. Small and efficient

Honestly, this is the best kettle in the world! We’ve had ours for over 10 years. There used to be a blue light that lit up when it was boiling, but hey what do you expect after all this time!
