Cleaning Guides

Regular cleaning and maintenance of your Bambino™ Plus espresso machine are essential for getting the most out of your coffee-making sessions. Ensure the filter basket is cleaned before and after each use, so nothing comes between you and the full-bodied flavour of the espresso you brew. See how it's done here.

Purging the group head removes any coffee grinds and espresso residue that can build up after every extraction. The group head purge keeps your machine in good working order and ensures that each and every coffee tastes great. We recommend that you do a group head purge before and after each brew.

Cleaning your Bambino™ Plus is vital to ensuring that you keep enjoying a delicious cup of coffee every time you use it. The machine will alert you when it needs cleaning by flashing both the '1-Cup' and the '2-Cup' buttons. Let us guide you through it.

How to perform a cleaning cycle

It is essential to regularly clean your machine and components to ensure consistent third wave speciality coffee at home. To ensure your Bambino™ Plus is always ready to brew a perfect cup, we recommend that you perform a clear water backflush at the end of each brewing session to remove any coffee ground or oil residue buildup.

Another essential cleaning process for the Bambino™ Plus is descaling. Prevention of scale buildup ensures you're producing great quality coffee with every brew. When the '1-Cup', '2-Cup' and 'Steam' buttons all flash in alternation, the machine needs to be descaled. Follow this video to see how it's done.

Remember to replace the filter after 90 days or after using 40L of water. In this video, we will guide you through how to replace a used filter to ensure your coffee is kept at its best quality.
